Mr. Patrick McCurry was named the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) Office of Inspector General (OIG) Assistant Inspector General for Investigations (AIGI) in 2022. He is responsible for directing complex criminal, civil, and administrative investigations regarding fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement within AOC programs and operations, and AOC employees and contractors. He also coordinates with external law enforcement partners and federal prosecutors from the Department of Justice and various U.S. Attorney’s Offices. He joins the AOC OIG from the Export Import (EXIM) Bank OIG where he also served as the AIGI. Prior to joining EXIM OIG, Mr. McCurry served with the Department of State OIG, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Fairfax County Police Department. He has managed and led investigations involving fraud, money laundering, weapons and technologies export, and violent crimes. Mr. McCurry holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Catholic University of America and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
